THE FINAL BLOG O.O !!!!

    Having finished Huck Finn I am not disappointed at all! For once out of all my reading lately there is happy ending (lil sad cuz of Pap/Miss Watson) ! In the last bunch of chapters,  I end up finding Tom Sawyer very annoying idk if thats just me but i really do. In Chapter 31 Huck is challenged with social responsibility in the most crucial part of the story that centers Jim (the brehh). He attempts to do what the average folk at the time would do and tries to write a letter in order to turn Jim in to Miss Watson. Yet, he is overwhelmed by emotion and feelings for the friendship him and Jim have."And got to thinking over our trip down the river; and I see Jim before me, all the time, in the day, and in the night-time, sometimes moonlight, sometimes storms, and we a floating along, talking, and singing, and laughing."(Twain pg242) Huck as I stated 2 blogs ago follows his own social responsibility because he is above society! He values his own opinion over the opposition. "All right then, I’ll go to hell!" (Twain pg 242) (says after he refuses to turn in Jim) 
    Chapter trenta-tres (33) Huck Finn realizes Sally and Silas are Tom's aunt and uncle. But more relating to our topic, Tom comes through in social responsibility for Huckleberry. Wether it was for the adventure or not Tom puts aside his outlooks on "niggers" and agrees to help Huckleberry steal Jim back.(Who he thinks is a ghost at first LOL)"No worries, I'll help you steal him!"(Twain pg 253) which in turn startles Huck (I thought it showed a true friendship was there between him and Tom Huck never really thought about,  “Tom Sawyer fell considerable in my estimation,” (Twain pg 254). 
     In the end all ends well. EXCEPT TOM NEVER TOLD HUCK THAT JIM WAS ALREADY A FREE MAN WHICH FORCED ME TO READ MORE !!!!!!!!  RAGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!! STUPID COOL DUMMY TOM !!!! On the brightside, the Duke and Dolphin were tarred and feathered #animalcruelty ! Pap is the dead man in the house and Miss Watson dies (Yay and yay kind of) #worldssmallestviolin.  (I apologize if it wasnt as funny I had a major migraine while writing this TOOK ME FOREVER !!!)

Finn and Friends !!! (kind of...not really... or nahhh) Social Responsibiltity Chapped Lips: 22-30

        For once in my life, I actually witness the characters growth to be present, beneficial, and a lot more realistic than anything. Overall I am not annoyed with the Huckleberry instead I am rooting for him lol. In chapter 23 I felt his social responsibility was much more evident than anything. Chapter 23 (Michael Jordan), The Duke (of Hazzard) and Dauphin (Aquamans side kick) use their abilities for evil! Otherwise attempting to have an opening night for the greatest show on earth ;-) "The Royal Nonesuch Gig" and ending the show soooooooooo early the rooster didn't even cockadoodledoo yet!. After ripping people off  they continue on makin bank $$$ for tres nights in a row! To even Jim who is supposed to be an uneducated slave in a time period such as Huck Finn or even just by slave standards alone realizes that the Duke and Dauphin are complete hoaxes "But Huck, dese kings o'ourn is regular rapscallion; dats jist what dey is; dey's regular rapscallions."(Twain pg.179) ((Rapscallion ? Rap- 2 chainz, jay z, eminem and scallion- vegetable that taste like onions soaked in sweat ??? MAKES SENSE TO ME))  From this statement, Huck agrees and claims that it is expected of people of such a high class.  In all, I actually found Jim and Hucks (In a sense) claims to be evident in society because people who were ripped off the first night attempt to protect their own pride by spreading the lie that the show was fantastic. Almost as if the people were saying " Theres no way!!! I'm better than everyone ! If I made this mistake, other people should too!" Now where Hucks claim doesnt make sense is that Dukes and Dolphins lol purposely attempt to rip people off. I don't think so, yet the people put that burden on themselves since the social responsibility of every individual seems to be focused on PRIDE!

= Rapscallions

        Chapter 24 I really enjoyed because it confirmed what I said in my previous blog post !!! As Ive said Huck has grown for the better and the social responsibility he follows i believe is found in 24 which is to be his own. Huck is above society and his slight innocence allows him to see things for how they are and not just follow what everyone believes. When the Rapping Scallions (Tuff rap #squaad) attempt to pretend to be the Wilks brothers and steal a dead mans money, Hucks idea of social responsibility prevails on a psychological level when he says " It was enough to make a body ashamed of the human race." (Twain pg.189) 

Enough Huck for your Buck? Lame Pun (Social Responsibility Ch. 16-22)

Just a short look back, Huck has come from a boy with no manners or outlook on life just being Huck,  trained into somewhat of a well mannered  boy from Miss Watson and The Widow Douglas, then into the opposite from his father imposing a life of being down and dirty boy who respects his Pap and Pap only, back into his own independent person who creates a plan to run away living his life, then is influenced by Jim slightly, gains knowledge becoming smarter and now is faced with the choice to turn in Jim or not! OMG !!!! Talks about Social Responsibility Huckleberry has almost done it all. At such a young age he is has battled through most of it and is now faced with another "lens" if you will of social responsibility. In Chapter 16 Huck had planned on turning Jim in  since it was the common social responsibility, he was a runaway and most importantly miss watsons. Yet was compelled and in a sense caught feelings of a warm heartedness for Jims aspirations to see his family again, especially when jim ended with huck being the only white person he ever trusted. It made me all overly trembly and feverish, too, to hear him, because I begun to get it through my head that he WAS most free--"( Twain pg. 112)  my interpretation of his decision is that Huck rather favors his own social responsibility to Jim over the "common" as I spoke of.
             Throughout the reading another form of social responsibility arose in chapter 18. Sophia Grangeford asks Huck to get her a bible in which Harney Sheperdson leaves a note "Half past two"(Twain 139). Basically half past two is  the time that the starcrossed lovers of feuding families shall meet.... *cough cough* Shakespeare? ? I think sooooooooo !!! Yet instead of Huck telling buck or colonel immediately as he should've #socialresponsibility he doesn't think much of it and in the end leads to a shootout amongst the families.

Huck Finn 6-10 Social Responsibilitaaayyy

           So I think its safe to say the Huckster B-) has found his place in society.... sort of .... -.-... at first as we read he is kidnapped by his dad if that even makes sense.  With "good" ol' Pap Huck becomes a whole different person, as pap trys to pretend to care about Huck. Claiming the government screwed the family over. "Call this a govment? why just look at it and see what its like. Here's the law a-standing ready to take a man's son away from him -" then tries to make it sound like he is owed for raising huck, "Yes just as that man has got that son raised and ready to go work and begin to do suthin' for HIM and give him a rest , the law up and goes for him. And the call that govment!"  Huck(Paul) slowly forgets all of his manners and ways of being a common school boy that Miss Watson (miss wats) teaches him. He turns into the down and dirty (James brown) huckleberry. He becomes his own man. Besides, who wouldnt when your dad constantly brings you down and tries to kill you in a hallucination!!?? Lol I was laughing so hard imagining it xD. In all seriousness this chapter was a big step for Huck and really opened up the story.
             Chapters 7-10 Finn stages his own death. Killing a pig (HOW COULD HE?? #RipPig) as part of his devised plan he manages to throw the towns people off and escape via canoe. After landing on Jackson island,  Huck travels and finds the brehh Jim(my Neutron) aka the man who has "handled witches" speaking about his loss of money and  luck and admits he too has escaped. Next jim tells huck about a dead man he encountered and they go to the house in which his supplies are located. While there, both of them deal with these "snake related probzz". After a few days, jim heals up but prior he acts as the superstitious omen he apparently is and talks of bad luck coming. With Huckster short attention span he takes his self freedom a decides to see what's happening in the town dressing up as the lady he is hehehe. From all of this, Huck is now being influenced by Jim. Slowly buying into his superstitious ways. Huck is fitting in to Jim's society otherwise "becoming a social responsibility" for jim.  Do you think Jim is an Omen? Is Huck really gonna be like Jim? Will the people find him?

Huckleberry Finn: Social Responsibility 1-5

           Having read chapters 1-5 it is clear Huck Finn is not one of a kind. By definition, social responsibility is a duty that every individual has to maintain a balance and fit into society.  Good or bad, Huckleberry is to "unholy"and ill mannered for Miss Watson/Widow Douglas in the beginning  and by chapter 5 he is to smart and "civilized" for his Pap. 1 and 5 are really the two cases in which we see he is not fit for any society nor even Tom Sawyer as he matures.
            When Huck introduces himself in chapter 1, he speaks of Miss Watson attempting to "reform" him through manner and religion. Yet, Huckleberry finds it boring and "lonesome". On page 3 paragraph 4 we read as Miss Watson(Miss Watkins) commands Huck(Paul) to do things out of his norm such as ""Don't put your feet up there, Huckleberry;" and "don't scrunch up like that, Huckleberry--set up straight;""(Twain,Pg 2-3).  Also on page 3 Finn talks of religion with Watson and how he should strive to be in the "good place", yet Huck sees no advantage if his friends (Tom) won't be there. No matter what was done, Huckleberry did not show interest in religion as the public did. He was as much an outsider who had superstitious beliefs (displayed when he flicks the spider into the candle) as the Niggers were. "Niggers would come miles to hear Jim tell about it" (Twain,Pg 6) ***It referring to the story of the "witches"***
           Chapter 5, Pap has returned to Good ol' Hucky Boy ^.^ ! (NOT GOOD) When Pap is found sitting in Huck's room he starts to go off on Huck about how he's changed. Although never there to teach Huckleberry how he wanted him to act or his own version of right from wrong, he is offended by the Widow's version of Huck. "Starchy clothes--very. You think you're a good deal of big-bug, don't you?" and "Who told you you might meddle with such hifalut' n foolishness, hey?" (Twain,Pg 20) were two remarks I found that proved Pap was displeased and did not accept Huck at all. Finn had failed to fit in with the rivaling societies of the majority and Paps. He did not fulfill his Social Responsibility.

WHAT DID I TELL YALL !!!! #ohhkillem

YAAASSSSS I WAS RIIIGGHHTTTT!!!!!!! I knew that Dimmesdale had a major role !!!!!! HAHAAAA He THOUGHT!!! This man ain't low!! HAAAAhaaaaaa.....I can now see why we are made to read this in school and how it fits in with every other story I've read; IT WAS SOOO WACK!! To me it was just your basic love story that makes everyone have to reread the english and in the end upsets you because of how basic it was *cough cough* Shakespeares Stories.

Toward the end, we witness a lot of Pearl and not much Hester. By this I mean, we see Pearl actually develop throughout the story from 0 to hero (kind of/not really)!!!  In the beginning Pearl is an "evil baby monster"= Just being a kid yet kind of wild. She then grows a  bit but atleast exponentially. Yet, it may have come off as mean how she only recognized her mom when the Scarlet Letter is in place. As we know the Scarlet Letter upset Hester and denounces her soul/character and Pearl seems to show love for it with a kiss. She also pushed away Dimmesdale and rubbed of off the kiss he bestowed on her. But in Pearl's defense you shouldn't expect love or praise from a child who has no clue on who the minister really is. Luckily we see that change in the end! =3 yet as we read that doesnt even matter! ^.^

That man holds grudges for daayyysssss. Then again he does have a very valid reason.  Reverend Dimmesdale just took your girl, had your baby, and now you treat him back to health!?!?! PSHHHT FUDDGEE THAT !!!! I was expecting him to expose him the second he found that letter although they didn't reveal it in that chapter -.-. Or possibly just kill him a lot earlier instead of allowing frkn Nathaniel Hawthorne write this "mASSter piece of literature"

What really pushed me over the limit was truly the ending!! Pearl goes through this whole little coming of age crap and begins to love Dimmesdale! Although I must admit he gives an electrifying sermon, he dies really !!!??? He gose to the scaffold, rips his shirt off showing his letter and then just dies !!??? Drops to the floor the end !!!??? PURE WASTE OF TIME AND TOTAL RUBBISH THIS BOOK WAS!!!!!

Scarlett Johanson....ughh I mean Letter mah B!!!! :Chapters 7 and 8

Chapter 7: This chapter was not very significant as far as a story line. YETTTT!!!!, it was very symbolic of many things and helped me get a better understanding of Pearl. Also pretty funny to me xD. Anyways we join Hester and Pearl to a little journey to Governor  Bellingham's MARVELOUS (British Accent) Mansion -.- ..... While delivering the gloves she made, she mainly goes to obtain more details about these little "SCANDALOUS" (creeper voice) rumours amongst the town gossip who claim Pearl will be taken away.  Reason being that Pearl is a lil demon baby ORRRRR that she is human and her mom is irresponsible therefore she should go to a better family. PAUL'S RULING (one that matters the most B-D ): Personally I like Hester Prynne. Although she can be really weird and awkward at times, she is mostly strong, thorough, and very open minded ex: when she accepts what she did was "wrong" and takes her punishments.  To evaluate the situation, she committed adultery not because she is S/One Hockey Stick/U/ T (free cookie if you figure that out ;-3) but because her husband had been away for a longtime and desperation got the best of her. Other than that we should all realize she is a great woman! WHICH BRINGS ME TO MY MAIN POINT: Pearl should not be taken away because there are many qualities and experiences in which Hester can teach her about. Also, I believe it is mainly the townspeople who happen to influence Pearl's actions. Not really important but it also backs up my statement in this sense ...LOL on the way there Pearl scares away the kids who fling mud at her and her mom. If we actually analyze the kids and the way they were treating Hester and Pearl, I think it defeats the purpose of gossip when saying give Pearl to a better family.

Symbolism/Explanations:
Armor in Bellingham's sweet Man Cave B-) = I thought it actually served as accolade in crediting Bellingham that he does what is best for the town not just doing stuff to be a donkey hole.

Pearl's little tunic= Crimson just like the Scarlet Letter signifies that motherly bond  and/or the actual result of the Scarlet Letter . I also saw it as a relation to satan because he is apparently red -.-  . (works in two ways I guess)

The Dead Garden= Totally equals Bellingham's terrible farming skills duhh. Yet it has the rosebush which amazes  Pearl  and is still crazy to me! I CANT FIGURE OUT WHY ITS HERE !!!

Chapter 8: MORE MEAT LESS BONES!!!! I was actually able to read the chapter and understand it rather than have to pick at it for little details. I really can't explain Dimmesdale ! Everyone else yeah there a bunch of D Bags and Dimmesdale kind puts the D in D- Bag (lame pun ;-(  ) but everyone expected that from them. The way they treat Pearl and tease her is pretty messed up and it seems they dont even take into consideration her age and lifestyle. We also see Hester Prynne detest the fact that they take away Pearl and instead uses reasoning in order to show the pros of keeping her (*Backs up my chapter 7 argument that Prynne is strong, smart and that she has alot to teach).  BACK TO DIMMESDALE :Timmy is an average kid/That no-one understands/Mom and dad and Vicky/Always giving him commands/Vicky:Bed twerp!! (hehehe wrong Dimmesdale) Anyway he is a total butthole in the beginning of this chapter by mocking Pearl yet he comes to the recue AGAIN like he did in earlier chapters and says that Pearl is a gift from  God ,in which I see her as the "Honest Truth" for Hester's life. Finally Wilson and Bellingham agree to let Prynne keep the child ( Like I said #Bo$$ B-) ) and continue the hunt fo tha babehh fadduhh. KEY CONNECTION: I found it extremely odd how lil P (Pearl) touched Dimmesdale's face like he was the  FATHER FIGURE O.O MAYBE?!?!?..... nahhhhh BUT WHAT IF???? And I found it pretty funny how she sassed and pushed away Wilson teehee.  OHHHH almost forgot, Mistress Hobbins? Weird creepy Witch lady (sister of Bellingham) who I didnt really think about till now, she contradicts her brothers actions haha! 

Conclusion: WEIRD 2 CHAPTERS !!!!!
